A special Christmas raffle held by the Briggs Equipment Charity team for the company’s staff, has raised over £3,000 for the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity.
Rays of Sunshine is Briggs Equipment’s nominated charity partner for 2019/20, and have a clear aim to brighten the lives of children that are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, between the ages of 3-18, across the United Kingdom. They achieve this by granting wishes to these children, with the belief that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold – even if it is just for one day. Their vision is to make wishes come true and turn them in to happy memories.
Upwards of 50 raffle prizes were available to win in the raffle, ranging from the latest technological gadgets including an iPad and Xbox One S Bundle, right through to Christmas themed hampers and retail gift vouchers.
Janet Noble, head of Briggs Equipment’s Charity team, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the response we’ve received from our colleagues to the Christmas raffle and it’s brilliant to see the Briggs family come together for such a worthy cause.
“We’re proud to be supporting Rays of Sunshine as our charity partner and it’s been inspirational to see the incredible work they carry out on a daily basis to make a real difference to poorly children across the country.”
