Following another successful ‘Jeans Day’, an initiative where Briggs staff wear casual clothes to work and donate to a nominated charity, and a tuck shop organised and managed by the Finance team, a fantastic total of £445.89 has been raised for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

The Midlands Air Ambulance provide patients with outstanding pre-hospital care and life saving intervention through the operation of helicopter-led emergency medical services (HEMS) across the region. Charitable donations help them continue to save more lives and improve survivors’ quality of life through the provision of a comprehensive, transparent, clinical and operational helicopter led emergency service aligned to changing patient need and demand.

Throughout 2020, numerous jeans days will be taking place in aid of charities that cover a wide variety of worthy causes. Each of the nominated charities has been put forward by a Briggs employee, which helps encourage engagement with the fundraising efforts.

Janet Noble, head of charity team at Briggs, commented, “We’re continuously amazed at the generosity our people show towards our charitable endeavours and this latest donation further highlights the important role that charity plays at Briggs.

“The Midlands Air Ambulance is a charity and cause that we’re extremely familiar with and is one that is close to a number of our employees’ hearts. In 2012/13, they were our charity partner and following various fundraising activities by the Briggs team throughout that year, an incredible £20,000 was donated.

“I’d like to thank everyone who took part and help make this donation possible, and we’re looking forward to raising more valuable funds for some brilliant charities in 2020 and beyond.”
