Briggs Equipment’s employees have once again gone above and beyond with their charitable activities to help raise £50,000 for their 2020 charity partner, Rays of Sunshine.

The Coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on charities up and down the country with events cancelled and fundraising opportunities reduced. However, despite these challenges the Briggs team has continued to push forward with new and innovative ways of raising money whilst the majority of the business has been working remotely.

Some of the highlights include a Mount Snowdon Virtual Challenge, lots of individual walks and runs and various raffles and competitions throughout the year.

Janet Noble from Briggs Equipment’s Charity Team, commented: “We are delighted with the £50,000 final total that’s been raised by our people and we hope that this money will help make a real difference to seriously ill children across the UK.

“This has been such a difficult year for so many people, but we’re incredibly proud of how our employees have continued to put others first and keep on fundraising for this very worthy cause. We’ve had to adapt our activities and use the technology available to us and I’d like to thank the Charity team for their hard work in co-ordinating these efforts and our people for stepping up and getting involved.”

Claire Quigley, Head of Fundraising at Rays of Sunshine, commented: “We are completely blown away by the support from staff at Briggs and the incredible amount they’ve raised. We are so grateful for their unwavering commitment and enormous support throughout the partnership – these phenomenal funds will help us continue our work in brightening young lives which we are all so thankful for.”
