Day three saw the team complete just over 87 miles and climb 6,864 feet. This was the first day that the team were really starting to feel the effects of the previous days riding, and with three killer climbs waiting for them over the last 30 miles of the route, the team headed off very steadily in anticipation. The route took the team through some stunning, if slightly damp, British countryside through the Lake District, and on through the picturesque Forest of Bowland.

There were some very challenging climbs throughout the day, one of which was straight up and at one point hit 30%! Some of the team did wonder at this point if they would make it to the top or just roll back down… luckily everybody made it with no walking.

The team set out, feeling a little apprehensive for the day ahead.

Andy Keyworth proves to be the King of the Mountains.

It was more than a little windy up the tops.

Just some of the rural landscape the team passed through.
