Layla, the daughter of Briggs Equipment’s Warranty Supervisor Adam Kulik, has helped raise an outstanding £6,518 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

Along with her cousin Annie, Layla ran two miles every day during the month of March in aid of the charity, after their uncle Mark was diagnosed with the disease. The two ten year olds set themselves the challenge of raising £200, but have smashed their target and the donations are continuing to flood in.

The money raised will go towards further research and raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease. MNDA helps improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers.

Esther Speck, from Briggs Equipment’s Charity Team, commented: “Congratulations to Layla and Annie for what has been an incredible fundraising effort throughout the month of March.

“It’s great to see the families of our employees getting involved in charitable activities and we were delighted to have provided a donation to the overall fundraising total.”
