Following a challenging opening weekend for the Smiths Racing team at Donington Park, the attention turns to the Snetterton race circuit for another pulsating round of British Superbikes action.
Despite the overall results, there were some encouraging moments for the Smiths Racing Team duo Pete Hickman and Alex Olsen at Donington Park, and they’ll be looking build on that and challenge further up the leaderboard this weekend.
Snetterton is an important part of the British Superbikes calendar, and it’s a circuit that has produced memorable racing moments over the past few years. It underwent a major redevelopment over the winter of 2010 and is now widely regarded as one of the best circuits in the UK with its combination of rider exhilaration, spectator entertainment and safety.
With the BSB action coming thick and fast over the next few weeks and months, Pete Hickman spoke about the importance of a putting in a positive showing at Snetterton.
“The whole team is looking forward to bouncing back this weekend and putting in a good performance. With this shortened schedule we understand the importance of a positive start and we’ll be looking to do exactly that at Snetterton.
“As always in the British Superbikes the competition will be extremely tough, but we’re in great spirits and confident mood.”
