Earlier this week, members of Briggs Equipment sales management team volunteered their time to help support the Ripon Community Link Charity and the ongoing maintenance of their walled garden. The team carried out dozens of tasks that the charity have been unable to complete, including the refurbishment and transportation of their barrow, repainting of the sales storage area and installation of two new noticeboards and much more.
Once part of the Bishop’s Palace, Ripon Walled Garden is now home to the Ripon Community Link Charity, who since 1995 have developed the garden into a peaceful area that adults and young people with learning disabilities can relax, explore and enjoy. The garden includes a plant nursery, orchard and woodland, which are all beautifully maintained.
Briggs also donated a number of branded jackets and will be working with the charity moving forward to help with the upkeep of the garden and support new projects.
Nick Marsden, Briggs Equipment’s Head of Sales – North & East, was part of volunteer group and commented: “It was fantastic to be able to get involved and give something back to the community. The work being carried out by the charity is truly inspiring and it was great to hear about the initiatives and programmes that they run to help benefit adults and young people with learning disabilities.

Hopefully our contribution to the garden and the charity will help make a difference for their members and those visiting and we’re certainly looking forward to working closely with them on additional projects in the future.”
