Briggs Equipment staff have come to together to provide some positivity for the Windsor House Care Home staff and patients against the backdrop of the Coronavirus pandemic. 96 care packages and several electronic gifts for the Care Home itself, have been successfully delivered by the Briggs charity team. These packages included donations from Briggs employees who once again showed their ongoing and brilliant commitment to supporting community causes.
Care homes across the country have been impacted hard by the Coronavirus pandemic. Patients have had to spend a considerable amount of time shielding from their friends and family, whilst staff have worked tirelessly on the front-line.
Janet Noble from the Briggs Equipment Charity team, commented: “We are delighted to have delivered these gifts to the care home’s wonderful staff and patients. At Briggs, we’re committed to supporting local causes and after hearing the challenges that Windsor House has faced in terms of fundraising and donations, it was important that we stepped up to do our bit.
“I think we all recognise the extraordinary challenges that the staff and patients have faced over the past few months, so hopefully these gifts can show our appreciation for the situation and the work they are putting in.
“The purchase of some of the larger gifts was made possible with the discounts achieved through our Briggs Boost discount scheme. We also received support from local retailers, as The Works bookshop in Cannock helped by providing us with an exclusive discount on puzzle books for the staff and residents.
“I would like to thank everyone involved with donating, organising and delivering these care packages to the Windsor House Care Home.”
